The Role: You are a resourceful and results driven sales professional with a commitment to providing service excellence. With proven track record in  foodservice sales, business acquisition tactics and people leadership you will provide our sales team with training and support on their road to success. You can adjust your training to meet the needs of various learning styles and maximize sales effectiveness by diagnosing team's shortcomings and strenghtening core skills, knowledge and strategy.  You thrive in a fast-paced, target driven environment and enjoy working in partnership with a diverse team of people to deliver the best possible results.

Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with the sales leadership team to continually develop, evolve and facilitate the on-boarding program for new sales hires;
  • Deliver an effective training process with supporting materials to create both immediate and long term measurable results;
  • In collaboration with sales leadership focus on improving the skill sets and knowledge of current sales staff through “in-field assessments” to determine needs;
  • Develop training curriculum for all sales meetings;
  • Develop on-line training sessions that can be accessed remotely from home and measured;
  • Develop a business review process for customers with use of “test kitchen facility”;
  • Work with Customer Relations and Marketing to drive messaging, inside sales strategy and overall sales process.


  • 5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in foodservice distribution; Demonstrated leadership abilities with 2+ years in people management position;
  •  Exceptional interpersonal skills and well developed analytical skills;
  • Post-secondary education in business or marketing preferred; CSP (Certified Sales Professional) designation a bonus;
  • Results driven with the ability to adjust training style to meet the needs of various learning styles
  •  Demonstrated facilitation skills with the ability to adjust training style to meet the needs of various learning styles;
  • Proven ability to lead a team and influence a “need to win” attitude
