Credit Analyst

You are a tactful service professional, committed to providing financial, and administrative services to our Customers in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations within the Credit Department’s established policies and procedures. You are committed to cultivating and maintaining excellent partnerships with a diverse team of people and to delivering service excellence to our Customers while minimizing risk to Flanagan Foodservice.

Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide advanced financial and administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient AR risk management.
  • Assist the team in maintaining a DSO and prescribed cash collection target.
  • Maintain notes, administration of customer statements, account reconciliation, investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Administration of customer statements and account reconciliation
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer base as well as all internal teams
  • Investigation/resolution of discrepancies
  • Analysis of customer profiles and accounts
  • Provide back-up for accurate posting of payments to the system in a time-sensitive manner
  • Provide back-up support to the Credit Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess credit and collections skills for B2B and consumer-based relationships.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner in all methods of communication.
  • Strong problem solving skills and experience handling challenging and sensitive situations.
  • Solid communication skills with a comfort level in being sound, tactful and positive.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills.
  • Have an understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, GL entries, and cash flow management)
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Willing to develop in the role to reflect best-practices.
