Regional Sales Manager - GTA District

The Role:

The Regional Sales Manager is a seasoned sales professional with strong people leadership skills. The Regional Sales Manager will lead a dynamic sales team consisting of District Sales Managers, District Sales Supervisors, Business Development Managers and Territory Manager’s and has accomplished proven success within the Foodservice distribution industry or a similar sales and distribution model.  The successful incumbent will demonstrate the professionalism, maturity, tenaciousness and results oriented drive to manage sales operations in his/her assigned region to achieve revenue goals.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing a Sales Platform, the incumbent will be responsible for planning and execution of our 5 Pillar’s encompassing Territory Management, Business Development, Presentation Excellence, Performance Management and People Development to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing to regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meet regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by coaching district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Accomplish regional sales human resource objectives of recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, discipline, retention and; enforcing company policies and procedures.


  • Minimum of ten years Foodservice distribution experience in a senior sales role, or similar sales/distribution model
  • Demonstrated passion and good understanding of the Foodservice industry.
  • Post-secondary education with a specialization in Sales or Marketing, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Strong background in proven Sales Management Platform forms and knowledgeable in conducting business reviews to identify opportunities.
  • Successful at working independently with a sense of urgency, a high level of customer focus, and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and problem solve through direct collaboration with all departments.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation skills, decision-making, and issue resolution skills.    
  • Proven computer skills proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have own vehicle and valid Ontario Driver’s license and be willing to use personal vehicle during the performance of his/her duties as required.
